To rise above the reptilian. Above the levels of beastly instinct. Above these, to have your own yearning, completely unique. The main thing is living connected to Me. From there, in a state of complete harmony and usefulness is the fulfillment.
when you can prefer that more than the pleasures that are before you. Love is the main thing, the main desire.
You see your hate, your jealousy, your lust, inner urge, these pleasures that all stand before you, that you think will fulfill you -pleasures even greater than your self preservation.
everything will pass before you as you want to have things and more things, to be respected by friends and foes, to control. To control. All of these pleasures and lusts stand before you.
Realize! Everything is in you. The greater you are, the greater your desires are and they will grow.
Fill yourself as much as possible. What more do you want?
The main thing is to go forward. Don’t be calm.
To know me, then on top of all of this, you step out of your monkey suit. Step out of the habits of the rocks and vegetables who came before you, step out of your alligator skin. Get out of your monkey brain. Step up to the human kind. In this place, thoughts rule. The full heart is the king. I am with You and You are with Me. All the time, tied.

I did a TV interview with the kabbalist Michael Laitman yesterday. The topic was music – what is it good for.
His feeling is that music, more than TV and film is the best medium to communicate emotions to people. In 3 minutes, one can transfer an emotion and someone can take it and live with it, they can have it with them in the car, the subway, anywhere, and a good song can last for decades or more.
So I asked him about John Lennon (“No need for greed or hunger, a brotherhood of man”), Bob Marley (“One love, one heart”) and even Michael Jackson (“I see the kids in the street with not enough to eat, who am I to be blind”). Everything has been said already I said, what’s left to say, is the only thing to do just move the same words around?
He began to talk about cows. He said, when a cow lets out a big “mooo”, it comes from the bottom of her heart. She puts her whole self into that mooo. Then he said something about how that mooo is more authentic than a lot of music on the radio, and it would be great if artists were able to come from such a genuine place!
Well, we’re only writing about what we feel I told him, if we don’t feel this level where everyone is connected above our egos, how can we write authentically about it? He asked me to try. Work on it. Take this wisdom, this reality of unified world that we are always speaking about and make it like newspaper or magazine. Write songs every week, give an update about the changes that are happening, the internal work.
I’m going to try. We’re performing up at Niagra Falls this weekend. 2 night. Jesse and Charlie are coming up from Texas, Dima from Toronto, Haim and Yuval from NYC, Danny and Roi are in from Tel Aviv, Paul from Boulder.
When I return next week, I’ll begin. Not sure how this will look, but we’ll go for it.

Some Tried Sex, Some Tried Drugs
Some of us will try anything to fill that feeling.
Part of reality is revealed and we discover it through our 5 senses.
There is another part that we feel is concealed – what are the reasons that I feel this way?
- where do my thoughts come from?
What is hidden from my senses?
So, Question – R we capable of perceiving reality beyond our 5 senses?
How can I perceive reality outside of my body – without something entering my ear or my eye… – to know objectively the reality outside of me.
In order to research the reality outside of us, we need to build our sense to perceive it.
300 years before Darwin, the Book of Zohar says how all the degrees develop, from the still inanimate level to the vegetative level to the animalistic level and the finally to the human level. We are, after all, according to our corporeal structure, a sophisticated monkey.
Between the inanimate and the vegetative level is coral, between the vegetative and animalistic level there are worms and moles or something between plants and animals and between the animal and the human is the monkey. Go to the American Museum of Natural History in NYC and look at Hall of Human Origins exhibit.
Great Great Grandma and Grandpa Breitman
We’re developing, taking shape out of dust, built from mineral part (our bones, etc) to our vegetative part (hair, etc) to our animalistic part (do you really need to me clarify). Somehow from a UFO or something, a spark was planted in this organic matter and the matter is organizing itself to take shape. The matter and subsequent life that has grown out of it is constantly morphing until now, man, the pinnacle of this creation is sitting here, with this spark of light implanted in herhim and shehe’s trying to find a way to equalize with this force, to let it in.
As soon as we can perceive the light, now that we are conscious, not like the animals that we used to be, or even the plants, who can only arch from east to west everyday – no not us, we have free choice. If we can perceive the light, then we’ll want it.
So we need a sense that is totally different than our material senses, because this thing, this light is not made out of material.

We need to develop this spark, this tiny inkling towards eternity – develop this.

Watching myself, I notice that there are many times when I’m hurrying to fill my desires. Running to eat, running to smoke, running to make $, even running to slow down and go to yoga. In all of this, I’m just an advanced beast. The quality of my desires are different then the quality of a cow or dog’s desires, but we’re all running the same program – chasing the desires.
If we act only by our desires, we are just animals.
There is the mineral level and the vegetative level, the animate level and we are striving to be above that…something more.

Seemed like everything was going wrong. First too much heat and later too much cold and not enough oxygen and too much carbon dioxide and on and on. In the end, the pope had people praying, people around the world were focused on the astronauts making their way home. And dozens of scientists worked together and with tension and countries around the world offered their resources to aid and lay people everywhere, focused on them coming back home and America was sitting around the radio and the tv and the nation was pulling for this miracle to happen - and really, what is a miracle? A miracle is really something that can happen, it just can’t happen in the world we live in, but when it finally happens, well then, it is something that happens in the world we live in —- somehow, something that is not possible, it is seemingly not possible…somehow it becomes possible, after a tremendous amount of effort, we find that boom, poof, the new possibility arises, the new world comes.
The transition from one dimension to the next and what we are feeling now are labor pains (we’re collectively going through the birth canal), appearing to us emotionally, intellectually.

Make Your Reality
I’m slapped in the face over and over again by life. The same beatings. I wish I was a faster learner.
Look at every situation, somewhere in there is, “What can I get out of this?”, “What’s in it for me?”. The world is projected by the means that we percieve it. The physical world does not even objectively exist. It is a projection of this question. If I enter a situation and need something from someone, chances are I won’t get all that I need and I’ll feel empty. On the other hand, if I have a different attitude about what I need or why and then I don’t get it, the world is not such a crap-hole, the change in my perception changes my whole reality.
The physical world does not exist. It is a projection of what we can get out of it. The fact that we see it this way is a disguise…it is only our perception.
In conclusion, here’s a silly but clear cut example: When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, if you were a homeowner, you were in a bad way, a real bad way. All of your possessions, your hoome, your job, your friends lives are all destroyed. On the other hand, if you were the contractor who was hired to rebuild the city and you have a contract and a deposit check sitting on your desk for $25 million, your perception of the same hurricane is quite different.
